These next couple weeks are going to be the most stressful of the whole semester. In two of my classes we have exams next week, and then finals the week after. I think that is kind of ridiculous and don’t know why there needs to be an extra exam right before finals. I am also a little stressed about the final English project. It seems like an interesting and fun project but I just wish we had a little more time to do it. I guess I will just be spending a ton of time in the library, working on the project, and studying for the last couple weeks of the semester. Soo ready for Christmas break!

I went home for the weekend since I didn’t have class Friday through Monday. I got to see my best friend Cheyenne who I haven’t seen in four months because she was living in California. It felt like a really long time that we haven’t seen each other since we would hang out all of the time in high school. I spent time with her and my other close friends and we all had a good time together. It was really nice to see her and hopefully she will be able to come visit me here at Western sometime soon.

Project 3

This week we were assigned project 3.  We had to choose an unfamiliar genre of writing and analyze it. I didn’t know what genre to choose at first, but I though a timeline would be interesting, especially when I could make my own. The only difficult part is trying to find differences of all kinds of timelines and things such as their tone, mood, and attitude. Most timelines seem similar to each other, and don’t really have any specific tones or attitudes since they are just listing events that happened. But I am starting to figure out as I look at more examples of timelines that you have to dig a little deeper to find those differences, which is getting a little easier.

Wish I had something interesting to write about for my blogs but unfortunately I don’t. This weekend has been a mix of fun and studying and homework. It is hard to balance those two in college. I like to go out and hang out with my friends on weekends but lately I have just been a little stressed. I am not a fan of my psychology class and the tests we have every week. Hopefully this all gets a little bit easier in time!

time flies!

So my first semester at Western is coming to an end, and I can’t believe how fast it has been going. It seems like I was just moving in and meeting my roommate for the first time. It feels like I have been for a long time, but when I look back it has been going by really fast. I love it here, and everyone tells me that your college years are the best of your life. I definitely hope so, I can’t wait to spend the next few years of my life here!

The things that I need to do to improve my paper are to make my thesis clearer, and I think I need to cite my sources in a different way. I think I did well with backing up my argument and providing enough sources to support my thesis, and I think the information would help explain to someone what cyberbullying is if they didn’t know much about the topic.
